A bittersweet southern afternoon was spent at the Pine Ridge Simmental “Southern Heritage” Dispersal sale. As the videos rolled of the outstanding, young cow herd Larry Rodgers had assembled, bidders in the stands and on the phones purchased animals and genetics from 28 states including GA, NE, MS, VA, IA, NC, KS, AL, IN, AR, TN, IL, FL, OH, PA, NY, TX, LA, KY, MI, MO, MN, CO, WA, SC, SD, ND, MD, and 2 Canadian Provinces: Mantioba and Alberta.
As the dust settled in south Georgia that evening, the Southern Heritage event of 249 lots averaged $3,496.
