Though the weather was brisk on Sunday morning in Gilmore City, Iowa, breeders from Iowa and across the Midwest made the journey to The Chosen Few at Janssen Farms. The weather didn’t stop anyone from going out through the pens of impressive open females, ready to go to work bred female, and proven cows. Oh, and how could you miss the up and coming herdsire American Pride on display. There wasn’t anything you couldn’t find to be thankful for on sale day! With a packed house, conference line and internet bidding ready, Simmental breeders sat in to make their selection from the Janssen herd. At the drop of the final gavel cattle sold to 17 states including KS, MD, MN, OK, IA, MO, OH, IL, IN, KY, NE, NY, TX, AL, WI, TN, LA along with one Canadian Province.
